This custom-made sculpture is created from a series of tiles cast as mouths bearing different expressions. The tiles all start out as a sketch. Johanna then produces clay prototypes of them before making the final tiles in plaster moulds. Before being fired, the tiles are left out to dry – a process that can take up to two weeks.
