With the aim of bringing the outdoors inside, Johanna used oak trees to cast the moulds for the tiles for this ceramic stove. The stove starts as a sketch, followed by meticulous measurement-taking and the creation of a clay prototype. Johanna then starts to make the tiles, which she forms in plaster moulds to save time. When the tiles are ready, on their underside she starts to model the frame that will stabilise the structure.
