Double-walled vessel

This vessel is handbuilt from kaolinite clay (white clay) and hand thrown on a potter's wheel. The surface is burnished, a technique used to polish the ceramic without the use of glazes. Gabi Ehrminger combines distinctive shapes and the smoothness of pure clay with the lively traces of fire from different wood firings.
