This one-off ceramic stoneware vessel is entirely hand built using a variety of techniques, such as press moulding, coiling and slab building. Its bell shape is a reference to the pottery of ancient Greece but with a modern reinterpretation of its aesthetic. The walls have been altered and decorated with additional elements to add another spatial dimension and the rhythmic distribution of these decorative ornaments further the rhythm of the vessel. The contrast between the interior and its exterior is magnified by the choice of glazing, with the juxtaposition of a light colour set close to a darker one.
