This one-off ceramic stoneware vase represents a stylised visualisation of a woman's bust, inspired by Amedeo Modigliani's artwork. The inverse T-shape of the vase with its elongated neck mirrors the aesthetic qualities found in Modigliani's paintings – and, metaphorically – the concave and oval shape carved in the middle of the form represents its heart. This vase is entirely hand built and fired in oxidation at 1260°C.
