Visit a folk museum in Soufli

Inspired by their grandfather, a well known collector of antiques, and their own love for the silk making town of Soufli, the Bouroulitis family has been collecting and preserving various objects over the years. Right above the workshop, their archives are housed in a folk museum, Ta Gnafala. Traditional costumes, accessories, weaving machines, silk tools, old books and photographs: the room will take you back to the daily life of the Thracian region in the olden days. Handcrafted items from the Bouroulitis workshop completes the collection. Embroideries and silk pieces express the delicacy of Soufli needlework traditions.
