In this introductory metalworking course, students will gain a deeper understanding of iron, a hard yet malleable material. The focus of the workshop is to explore traditional working techniques along with basic concepts of contemporary design. Alejandro Dumon will guide the apprentices to help them acquire fundamental skills to design and create a simple object in metal. In the workshop, students will learn about the origins and physical characteristics of metals, safety regulations, techniques, and how to design an object. No prior experience is necessary to take this course. Please note that this experience takes place during two consecutive Saturdays, each session lasting five hours, starting at 09:00.
