Metal chasing masterclass in Edinburgh

with Bryony Knox

Discover an ancient metalwork technique

Silversmith Bryony Knox enjoys sharing her love of metal. During this weekend masterclass she will teach the ancient art of chasing and repoussé, where sheet metal is formed and embossed using small steel tools, while held in pine pitch. Over two days, in Bryony's colourful and eclectic workshop in Leith, Edinburgh, participants will learn to chase in the flat and in the round, and make their own chasing tools to take home with them. Materials such as copper sheet, bowls and tooled steel are all included in the price, as are tea, coffee and pastries. The course is suitable for all levels. See website for forthcoming course dates.
