Learn about stone cutting near Narbonne

During a one-hour guided tour of his workshop, Denis Augé will introduce you to stone sculpture. The “stone lifter” will present his famous and impressive sculptures, explaining how he frees the material from gravity. Visitors will thus have the chance to learn about his creative process: from collecting stones in the mountains to the various techniques, both ancient and innovative, that he masters. In addition, Denis will demonstrate traditional stone cutting tools and will invite participants to try them on marble, so as to truly feel the power of the mineral. This unique experience is an invitation to discover stone from a new perspective.
