Glass Art and Studies Centre is a unique place, which cultivates the work of glass artisans, continuing the traditions of the 17th century glass workshop that was located in the same place at Mentzendorff’s House. One of the Centre’s founders, glass artist Vineta Groza invites participants to learn the craft of mosaic making, specifically, glass mosaic. During the masterclass, you will create a mosaic painting (30x30cm), following the guidance of the master artisan. During this experience, you will feel like you are travelling back in time, and learn all about this ancient craft, known and practised for centuries.
