During this workshop, cabinetmaker Piet Hein Eek will teach you how to make a piece of furniture quickly and efficiently. Participants can choose one of the three original designs conceived by Piet himself: a stool, a table or a bench. His approach is to create pieces that have the flexibility to fit various circumstances and possibilities, within a tight timeline, making use of available tools and limited skills. These designs have been conceived according to principles that are important to the designer – make do with what you have and make something from nothing – which concurs with his vision of sustainability.
