This is a two-day advanced course, during which Elizabeth Kent will lead you into an immersive experience using verre églomise techniques with two pieces of A4 glass that will be provided. All the different stages will be covered, from preparing the glass for gilding, to applying gold or silver leaf to the glass, to burnishing the leaf to create a smooth, highly reflective finish. You will be encouraged to build a design and to apply colour, using different methods they will be introduced to. The final step will be how to seal and protect the gilded design. Please note that this workshop costs 350 GBP and needs to be booked in advance by contacting Elizabeth. This course spans a total of nine hours and is designed as a private, one-on-one session.
