A group papermaking experience in Sicily

Participants to this 2-hour hands-on experience will learn about the history of paper from its birth in China to its arrival in Europe, the raw materials used and all the tools of the craft. Francesco and Giuseppe Lo Gioco will give a practical demonstration of the entire process according to the Fabriano method. Participants will have the opportunity to create a sheet of paper, putting into practice what they have learnt during the tour. At the end, they will visit the factory showroom, where all the products crafted in the Crisa paper mill are on sale. Please note that this experience costs 100 EUR per group. Individual visits and workshops for smaller groups or schools are also available on request.
