Since the year 1596, the paper mill in Velké Losiny has never ceased its operation. Today, it's open to the public to see the unique way in which it works. Thanks to the museum displays, the visitor first explores the history of the manufactory and papermaking. After that, they see first hand all the essential parts of the ancient papermaking methods in the workshop. They discover manual sieving, sizing, drying or calendaring. Four centuries of the paper mill's history is revealed, along with many other stories of things that happened at the premises, which is nowadays registered in the Czech national heritage list. The tour is narrated by an expert guide.
