Create a sheet of paper in Munich

This course is an opportunity for all those who have always wanted to know how surprisingly rewarding it is to make paper themselves. You will create different types of paper, in different formats, take a close look at what's inside paper and get an overview of the different ways of working with pulp. The visit to the Papierwerk Glockenbach will last 5 hours and allow the participants to create different types and formats of paper under the guidance of experienced paper makers.

Follow paper makers Annamaria Leiste and Raphael Grotthuss into their workshop to create a large paper sheet, the speciality of Papierwerk Glockenbach. You will work on formats up to 150 x 240 cm which will be cast on a unique casting table. The participant can produce one large sheet according to his own wishes. Since a large sheet requires many hands, we work together during the production.The visit to the workshop will in total last 2 hours and allow the participant to create a large format paper sheet under the guidance of experienced paper makers. The date has to be scheduled in advance.
