Wet felting, a unique experience

Soledad Santisteban's workshop, located in an old industrial building in the heart of Bilbao was opened 36 years ago. Participants of this course will discover the techniques and creations that she makes. Among freshly sheared virgin wool, carding machines, looms and objects made by her, participants will learn the basic techniques to make a piece of felt. Soledad will discuss the fleeces of local sheep breeds to recognise their different qualities and, after carding them, everyone will make a spherical object that can be taken home to remember this experience. Materials are included in the price.
