Visit a ceramics workshop on Pantelleria

Sebastiano Fischer welcomes you to his workshop on the beautiful volcanic island of Pantelleria, which rises between Sicily and Africa. Pantelleria is characterised by a magical landscape created by overlapping layers of solidified black lava. This visit consists of a general presentation of Sebastiano’s work, including insight into the inspiration behind his creations, the shapes and colours he uses, the history of Raku firing and the theory behind the technique. Sebastiano will show visitors the process of turning an object on the wheel, and then later, at sunset, will demonstrate a Raku firing in the middle of the unique landscape of Pantelleria.
