Foundry tour in Pietrasanta

The Fonderia Artistica Versiliese, in Pietrasanta, established in 1975, is a rite of passage for both young artists and international, established ones, who continue to turn to their expert craftsmen to see their bronze creations come to life. The guided tour of the foundry brings small groups of visitors inside each department, and lets them dive into the world of fusion and to illustrate the fundamental relationship between the foundry in the context of the local region. The main focus of each visit is the lost wax casting technique, a method that has been in use for centuries, and some of the most outstanding bronze statues and monuments in the world were created using.
