MoLo Lab is an Italian architecture and interior design studio founded by architects Lorenzo Viola and Moreno Casetto. Designed as a hub for new ideas, the studio creates unique spaces that reflect the identity and stories of their inhabitants. The practice combines architectural and design research, functionality, beauty and sustainability.

The piece presented at Homo Faber 2026 represents a shared exploration of the design possibilities inherent to an ancient material. Iron often presents itself as a burnished, at times austere surface, but on closer inspection, its imperfections reveal a quiet softness that invites a more sensitive reading. Through a long process of research and design, MoLo Lab, with the technical support of Costa Curvati, shaped and softened the forms of the iron crafted by AlgrantiLAB. By applying gouache, they have unveiled a more delicate, poetic and romantic dimension to the material itself.
