For four generations, the Benlemlih name was tied to the craft of zellige tile making. But a break in the pattern occurred when Abderrahim Benlemlih saw new potential in wood. In the heart of Fez, where he spent years learning from woodworking masters, he began to carve his own path and eventually set up a small workshop. He initially worked alone, carving each piece with passion and precision. His work stands out for its beauty and its authenticity and craftsmanship. The Benlemlih name has become one people associate with intricate woodwork.
In 1980, Abderrahim's brother Said joined him, and together they founded Maison Benlemlih. What had begun in a modest workshop grew into a large manufacturer employing 50 skilled artisans. The essence of the brothers' vision remains unchanged: to elevate Moroccan craftsmanship to the global stage. Today, Maison Benlemlih is more than a thriving enterprise, it is a living testament to how tradition fuels innovation. Visitors are welcomed into a dedicated showroom, where they can discover and experience refined creations first hand: custom woodwork, elegant furniture, and intricate design pieces that celebrate the art of Moroccan woodworking.
