Founded in 1975 by Serge Volevatch, Maison Volevatch embodies French craftsmanship in luxury sanitary fixtures. Serge’s passion for antiques and French culture inspired him to restore historic sanitary pieces, starting with an 18th-century copper bathtub. What began as a personal project soon grew into designing bespoke collections that blend classic styles with modern functionality. A defining moment came when Rudolf Nureyev commissioned a 19th-century French-style bathroom, firmly establishing the atelier’s reputation for excellence.
Located in Picardie, the historic heart of French metalwork, Maison Volevatch preserves traditional techniques while embracing modern innovations. Each piece, meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans, transforms everyday objects into works of art. The atelier has crafted vintage-style bathtubs for the Château de Versailles and Hôtel de la Marine, and collaborated with designers like Humbert & Poyet. Recognised since 2006 as a Living Heritage Company ("EPV"), Maison Volevatch is also listed in the inventory of Rare Craft Professions.
