Founded in Marrakech in 2003, Côté Bougie was born from a desire to share authentic Moroccan craftsmanship through scented creations. The atelier combines artisanal candle making with 100% natural fragrances sourced from the capital of perfume essences, Grasse, in France. Every candle is hand poured into containers crafted by Moroccan potters, weavers and other artisans, creating a tangible link between scent and craft.
Mornings at Côté Bougie begin with preparing wax and wicks, followed by pouring and drying. Afternoons focus on finishing touches, quality control and order preparation, all in a calm atmosphere infused with fragrance. The manufacturer's iconic Tamtam collection blends contemporary design and traditional techniques, and has led to a special collaboration with Maison Sarah Lavoine. Since debuting at Maison & Objet, Côté Bougie has grown from a local passion to global recognition.
