Atelier Houria Tazi is one of the best kept secrets in the world of home decor. The Moroccan atelier has a 40-year history and tradition, and is internationally renowned for bespoke linen creations, state of the art collaborations and high-end distribution. Madame Houria Tazi, daughter of Rabat’s pasha, studied in France in the 1970s and upon her return home helped her father in his diplomatic activities and receptions. Her taste, experience and ingenuity inspired her to open an atelier, employing and empowering local craftswomen.
Driven and passionate, Houria incorporated in the atelier’s offering, bespoke embroidering, as well as hand-painting and elements of haute couture. Embroidery styles that the atelier specialises in include different techniques inspired by Western and Eastern traditions, and preserving a Moroccan flair. Today the baton has been relayed to Houria’s daughter Kenza who proudly carries on the business to create objects for a high art of living.
