Amalgam Collection crafts meticulously detailed scale models of the most iconic cars in the world for collectors and industry professionals alike. Sandy Copeman founded Amalgam Collection in 1985 in Bristol, originally to make architectural models, and became one of the leading model-makers for architects including Foster & Partners. In 1995 the studio segued into making finely crafted replica model cars. Amalgam Collection’s mission is to capture the beauty and craftsmanship of the classic racing cars of the 1950s and 1960s and state-of-the-art F1 models of today, and to express the intention of the original creators, but in model form.
These perfectly formed models replicate every detail and are made primarily in 1:8 and 1:18 scale. The team works closely with Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, and more recently with Aston Martin, too. Amalgam Collection now has three workshops in Bristol, China, and Hungary, where they blend their profound knowledge of the history, engineering, and design of these iconic cars with cutting-edge model-making skills and exquisite artistry.
