Metal Lace Moon Jar; Pashmina Moon Jar

These jars by The Kalhath Foundation reinterpret traditional Indian textile techniques on the ceramic surface. Metal Moon Jar adapts zardozi hand embroidery into a freestanding lace network that spreads across the surface. Pashmina Moon Jar is enveloped in pure Ladakhi pashmina yarn, hand worked through macramé knotting and embroidery to form a cocoon-like structure. Celebrating the richness of Indian craftsmanship, the pieces reflect a deep appreciation for material culture and sustainability.
