This sculpture by Kaibo Xiong was crafted using slab building and other traditional Ru and Jun porcelain forming techniques. The surface was finished with a patented glaze developed by the artisan. Recalling Chinese landscapes through carved lines and textures, the work reflects the artist’s view of clay as self, heritage as roots and craftsmanship as a path towards legacy.
