This sculpture by Emma Rosa was crafted from silk, thread, clay and ink, using a combination of textile techniques. These included free-motion embroidery for the stamen and roots, and traditional Japanese somebana, in which silk is shaped into life-like floral forms, for the blooms and leaves. Drawing inspiration from the life cycle of the passion flower, the piece captures its growth and transformation.
