This sculpture depicts a hanging bough of a wild rose. It features an entire growth cycle from bare branches to new leaf shoots, buds, the full bloom roses of summer, fading and dying flowers and the ripening of rosehips in autumn. It is created from silk leaves and flowers, thread stamen, inked clay berries, and is embroidered and heat manipulated.
