This free standing sculpture captures the essence of an English oak in flower, where the small flowering catkins are the same colouring as the emerging leaves. To create the intricate detailing of leaves, catkins, roots and thread lichen, Emma Rosa worked with the techniques of silk heat manipulation, inking and machine embroidery.
