Fold a flower, grow a garden

Inspired to try a craft for yourself? Come and try your hand at the ancient Japanese craft of origami in this free workshop, supported by Mazda, in which origami artist Giuseppe Romeo will demonstrate how to fold paper into an elegant white flower. Your creation will be added to a collaborative floral installation that will grow throughout September, thanks to the creative contributions of visitors to Homo Faber 2026. Each sheet of paper used in the workshop will bear Mazda's Hanko stamp, inscribed with the Japanese characters 匠之心, translating to 'Spirit of Craftsmanship'. Developed specifically for Mazda, the words express the brand’s approach to craftsmanship, while celebrating the traditional Hanko seal. The inscription was drawn by hand, with subtle irregularities as a reminder of the value of individuality and of the human touch in handcrafted work.
