This composition of miniature vessels by Kunal Ukey was hand thrown from terracotta, burnished with a smooth stone and finished with mustard oil. Two stages of firing produced the natural red and black palette. Arranged cell by cell in alternating tones, the pieces come together as a single artwork. No two are alike, their forms freely inspired by pots, vases, jars and jugs.
