Blown glass, Mirror, Silver
This sculpture by George William Bell was hand blown and hot sculpted in amber toned glass. Once cooled, the surface was sand carved to a stone-smooth finish, and a silver mirror layer was applied to the interior, transforming the transparent amber hue to gold. Taking its name from the flowing line patterns tracing the amorphous form, the piece emerges organically through a sculpting process that is both meditative and unpredictable.
