This sculpture by Taiichiro Yoshida was created using Japanese tagane chisels to punch copper sheets, and shape them into form. The colours were achieved through a combination of heat treatment and plating. Inspired by the presence of pigeons in urban environments, the piece explores how, despite the controlled nature of urban spaces, life finds ways to persist and even thrive in unexpected areas.
