Comitl Tzompantli

This vase by Cecilio Sánchez Fierro was hand moulded using red and pigmented clays. Sections were selectively wrapped in foil during open-air firing to control smoke exposure, creating darkened tonal variations on the surface through reduction effects. Bringing together recurring motifs, the work embodies a personal expression rooted in intuition and knowledge.
