Florets
These flower buds are created through layering of paper over string and then adhering crushed bird shells to the exteriors using binding agents. Combining the fibrous flexibility of Japanese paper string with the rigid, shattered texture of the eggshell captures the delicate balance of the natural world. It underscores a major theme in ecological art: ecosystems are highly fragile and easily fractured, yet inherently designed with resilience.
