Charlie Larouche-Potvin L'Arche sombre@Michael Kazik

L'Arche sombre

This sculpture by Charlie Larouche-Potvin combines five interlocking glass-blown elements, made using various Muranese techniques, such as murrine, bit work and gold leaf application. Part of a tryptic imagined as a futuristic narrative about the exploration of the otherworldly, the piece depicts birds piloting a nest-like spaceship fuelled by history and tradition.
