Sul'inyembezi

This sculpture by Madoda Fani was hand coiled, burnished and smoke fired, drawing on traditional Nguni ceramic practices. The piece takes on an organic form whose smooth surface is punctuated by repetitive patterns. The name of the work translates as 'wipe your tears'.
