Akahluwa

This Akahluwa vessel, titled The Undefeated, is pit-fired with newspaper, which gives it a charcoal colour. The surface was burnished with a stone to create a smooth finish, then carved with scale-like patterns. It has a wide base and a crown-like top with three prongs.
