Soban-top

This work is created by shaping each form on the potter’s wheel, carving the walls into faceted planes and stacking them in layers. While based on rounded forms, the carved surfaces create an architectural quality. A thin bluish glaze over the white porcelain surface gives each layer a distinct depth and appearance.
