©Thoma EwenOffering at Spider Rock
Handwoven on a vertical loom, this tapestry depicts a luminous butterfly resting on the copper and warm brown rock formations of Spider Rock, Arizona. Rays of sunlight are fusing with the veins of the butterfly’s green wings, making them almost transparent.
