Flower Gives Butterflies

Handwoven in wool on a cotton warp, this tapestry depicts a blue poppy with layered petals in shades of blue, purple and pink surrounding a radiant centre. An explosion of small butterflies woven in embroidery silk and cotton threads emerge from the flower’s core, creating a sense of movement and release.
