Unseen I

This sculpture is made from copper electroformed black velvet and pink satin. The organic shapes in the fabric, like that of an opening flower, have been stabilised by the metal which grows through the weaves in the fabric and collects on its edges. The copper has oxidised to deep pinks and purples and the finish is soft and matte.
