Stone series

These pieces are part of the Stone series, which consists of cups, tumblers and vases designed for everyday use. They are made with white clay, and the cups and tumblers are wheel thrown. The stones were created by making plaster moulds of real stones and then reproducing them with coloured clay. Because natural stones have irregular textures and strong visual presence, the cups and tumblers were intentionally kept simple in form. In these works, the stone acts as a mediator, allowing the piece to stand firmly on the ground and making the vessels functional.
