Sailing stone

This is an object made from white clay, which gives it a bright, pale tone. Its basic form, shaped on the wheel, resembles a flower bud. The stone elements were created by making plaster moulds from real stones and then applying coloured slip. This piece captures the process of stones seemingly climbing up and becoming part of the work.
