Koi junk teapot

This piece uses agateware, a ceramic technology invented in 8th century China and recreated by 18th century English ceramicists as they drew on antiquity. Tea bowls and saucers encrusted with porcelain sea life surround the pectin shell teapot, evoking a salvaged shipwreck artefact.
