Drops, steel
This hand-built sculpture is part of Lea Mi Engholm’s Drops series. It is formed from drops of liquid porcelain and earthenware, assembled while still soft and malleable. During high-temperature firing, the red clay melts and transforms into a glaze, becoming an integral part of the sculpture. Lea is drawn to the idea of the glaze emerging naturally from the form itself, rather than being a separate layer.
