
National Redwing racing dinghy
This is a traditionally built light-weight wooden racing hull of clinker construction with the name Lyonesse and sail number R249. All components are hand fastened together with copper and bronze fastenings. It has a modern performance trapeze rig – alloy spars, stainless steel standing rigging, Dyneema running rigging. It features the 1938 design by Uffa Fox for Looe Sailing Club. It was built to comply with National Redwing racing rules. This dinghy is the winner of the Concours d’Élégance at London Dinghy Show and winner of Nationals in Tournermine Cotes-d’Armor in Brittany in2018.
