This sculptural work takes the form of a kimono, reimagined in glass. Large fused-glass panels, in shades of turquoise and plum, are bound together with hand-dyed silk shantung. The colours form a textile-like pattern, recalling the effect of traditional dyeing. The piece hangs from a borosilicate glass rod, suspended by a braided silk cord in matching turquoise. Created by Patrícia Faragone, it reflects her dialogue between textile traditions and contemporary glassmaking.
