Large ikebana vase

The vase was made from Chamotte-bearing stoneware, and features the marks of its copper, cobalt and titanium glaze. Developed in response to the striking forms of Breccia sedimentary rock in the Welsh Eryri (Snowdonia) Mountains, the piece was carved from a solid block of clay and fired in an electric kiln to Cone 10.
