Violin back inspired by Guarneri del Gesù
This violin back is made from Balkan maple, in two adjoining but asymmetrical pieces joined along the centre line. Finished with linseed oil varnish and blonde shellac, the texture left by the tools is clearly visible on the surface, and becomes even more pronounced with the antiqued finish.
